Traditional Works

These are my traditional works that are separated by medium. I typically work with acrylic paint, graphite pencils, and conte crayon to create my fine art.

I love to use bright colors and sometimes mix it up by putting bold outlines around the subjects. I love trying to imitate different textures that help an area "pop" off of the canvas more than other areas.

Acrylic paint dries fast, but I love the challenge of creating smooth tone and color gradations within my paintings. Using arbitrary color in my fine art helps me break out into a more creative mindset from the beginning of the painting. I don't always have a set idea or composition when painting, and this makes the process from the start to the finished piece very exciting to me, because I am not even totally sure where it could lead to in the end. Paint is such a flexible medium and I try to take advantage of everything it can offer.
